Brook Advisory Centres, commonly known just as Brook - this is the only generalist national voluntary sector provider of free and confidential sexual health advice and services specifically for all young people under 25.  Provides professional advice through specially trained doctors, nurses, counsellors, and outreach and information workers to over 100,000 young people each year.
East London Lesbian and Gay Center (ELOP)

ELOP is the East London Lesbian and Gay Center, a thriving community-based charity in the very heart of East London serving the lesbian, gay and bisexual communities. Amongst other LGBT services, ELOP runs a comprehensive and broad sexual health program for gay and bisexual men and lesbian women or women in women2momen relationships. The program provides sexual health counselling and advice, a social gay and bi group, a lesbian or woman2women group, free condoms and lube and safe sex advice/ information, workshops on sexual health as well as links and referrals for other health services such as STI testing, GUM clinics and other medical support.

You can browse answers to thousands of questions submitted by email. According to the site, Go AskAlice! "is supported by a team of Columbia University health educators and health care providers, along with information and research specialists from health-related organizations worldwide."

This Web site, from a London-based professional organisation for Health Advisers in STDs, lists all GUM clinics in Britain and Ireland, has a glossary of terms, an A to Z of infections, a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) from visitors to GUM Clinics, and a page called the A to Z of Gay Men's Sexual Health. Also has discussion groups, plus a large section for news and discussion addressed to professionals in the field.  Explains what GUM clinics are and what can be expected when you visit one.

A service supplying free condoms and lube to gay men in London venues.  Use the 'Gay Venues' link from the home page to find your nearest venue within the M25 where condoms and lube are distributed by 'Freedoms'.  The site also has a message board and articles on safer sex and related issues like drug use.  Freedoms is run by the Gay Men's Team in the Health Promotion Service of Camden and Islington Community Health Services NHS Trust in collaboration with the Healthy Gay Living Centre (HGLC).

National AIDS Manual

NAM describes itself as "a community-based information provider based in the UK whose sole aim is to combat the AIDS epidemic through accurate, accessible and up-to-date information." NAM is responsible for the Aidsmap Web site in collaboration with the British HIV Association and the International HIV/AIDS Alliance.  Also produces a series of publications, available by mail order, regularly updated and providing information on all UK HIV / AIDS clinics and services, on current drug treatments and regimes and on current research internationally.  The Aidsmap site has searchable databases of treatments, of HIV Clinics and of international resources (the latter searchable in 6 languages), also an introduction to HIV and AIDS plus constant news updates.

The largest HIV and AIDS charity in Europe and the leading HIV organisation in the UK, THT has centres nationwide and provides targeted HIV information to those most at risk including gay men and Africans. Services include advice - eg. on housing, treatments, children, legal issues, insurance, wills, pensions.  Also support, advocacy and befriending services.  The face-to-face counselling service is for up to 12 sessions per client - specific counselling for those making choices about HIV treatment also available.

The Victoria Clinic, a service of Chelsea and Westminster Healthcare NHS Trust, designed this site "so that you can assess your HIV status online and take your time to decide whether HIV testing is right for you.  The questionnaire is designed for gay men, is anonymous and totally confidential.
